the Club. Our membership was aging and no longer able to erect it as easily as they may
have once done; storage was becoming a problem as members downsized their homes;
and it was being used less and less as most venues had a hall we could use.
The marquee was sold to the newly formed Family Caravan Club Inc for the princely sum
of $1. The CCCQ had been receiving enquiries from caravanners with young children about
joining a caravan club. Whilst existing clubs would readily have accepted them as
members, it was felt they would be better forming a club especially for families as the
children would have each other to play with and would have been bored joining clubs with
older membership and no children.

The year 2009 will be a significant one for the Club – not only will we celebrate our 60
birthday but will also be one of the host clubs for the State Rally to be held in Pittsworth.
So … here’s looking forward to a busy year with lots of fun times to be had.
